Yoga Nidra
The Art of Conscious Rest

In a world of constant sensory stimulation and endless access to information, many of us find it difficult to slow down, relax, switch off, and truly rest.
Yoga Nidra, often called “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation,” is a form of guided meditation designed to gradually lead you into deeper states of awareness. As the brain transitions through progressively slower brainwave patterns, thoughts begin to drift away naturally, allowing profound physical and mental restoration.
Research shows that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra can be as restorative as 3 hours of sleep.
Practiced lying down in complete comfort, the session is guided by an instructor’s voice. The practice gently draws your attention inward, helping the breath balance and the body find its natural state of equilibrium. As you hover between wakefulness and sleep, you are invited to set a ‘sankalpa’ — a heartfelt intention or affirmation — that can bypass the critical mind and reach the deeper layers of consciousness.
From this deeply relaxed state, we can dissolve mental and emotional tensions, rejuvenate the body, and experience an expansive sense of unity, peace, and clarity. When you return to full awareness, you feel rested, recharged, and centered.
